OIA Featured on the NHS 75th Anniversary Book, IFA, CogX and Bloomberg TV

The OIA team has been quite busy this quarter. First, we were invited to appear on the NHS 75th. Anniversary book in the context of the British Parliament History Project, and to the associated event at Westminster in London attended by Dr. Hector Zenil and Prof. Kourosh Saeb-Parsy with Members of Parliament, and the NHS leadership, where OIA’s Founder, Dr. Zenil, was interviewed on how AI and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) can help the NHS continue delivering on its mission to provide a high standard of health care to everyone in the UK.

OIA was also invited to IFA Berlin 2023. According to the organisers, IFA is the world's largest consumer electronics and home appliances trade show. From Albert Einstein opening the show in 1930 to the launch of the first video recorder in 1971. IFA introduced the first European car radio and colour TV.

At IFA, OIA introduced what we believe will be the future of healthcare where people will get access to the same best healthcare advice and treatment as a service in real-time remotely from their own homes with non or less invasive devices, just as other services have moved to people’s home, like movies with streaming. The trend started with the glucose metre and today is led by life science companies in the form of, for example, making oral chemotherapy from home possible. The NHS current mandate, such as in the concept of virtual wards, is to keep people at home.

Dr. Zenil was also invited to the Zuse Institute, a research institute for applied mathematics and computer science on the campus of Freie Universität Berlin where he was given a tour and had interesting discussions on the future of interpretable AI.

At CogX, Dr. Zenil delivered a short keynote at the Founders stage where he had a warm reception after explaining OIA’s main mission and vision of a world free of preventable diseases by using the best of human and machine intelligence with our end-to-end solution Algocyte.

According to the organisers, CogX is the world’s biggest festival of AI and transformational tech. Held at the iconic O2 Arena alongside an impressive lineup of world leaders, we showcased how our predictive, generative, and hybrid approach to A(G)I, has the potential to bring personalised healthcare and predictive medicine to the masses through people’s homes.

Here some video fragments extracted from the keynote talk:

OIA and Algocyte were also featured on the popular CNBC’s and Bloomberg TV’s show, Advancements hosted by Ted Danson and aired worldwide twice on the last Saturday of October 2023 and the first Saturday of November 2023 @ 8 PM ET US time. It will be also available on Amazon Prime Video later this year. You can watch the OIA segment here and learn how we use A(G)I for precision healthcare and predictive medicine from our management and leadership teams.

Incubated by the University of Oxford and grown in the Cambridge University ecosystem, Oxford Immune Algorithmics (OIA) is a mission-driven deep-tech start-up that applies predictive and generative Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) to deliver decentralised precision health, and predictive medicine to everyone today.
